A drive along narrow gravel road, a 15 minute hike and then ... the magic unfolds.
84 kms from Sydney, towards north, are some of the gorgeous beaches and lookouts. I am in a fix now, wondering if Central Coast is better than South Coast.
In my previous post, I took you to the serene locations of Ettalong Beach. Although it was sunny, the cold winds made me hug my sarape a little more tightly We drove down Umina city, ordered fish and chips from Mum's Seafood Kitchen, before making our way to Warrah Lookout. Oh the fish and chips - they were absolutely fresh and delicious!!!
Keep checking your GPS and look for the turn towards the lookout. We were so engrossed in eating and drinking (coffee I mean) that we missed the turn and had to drive 4 km extra before we found a place to turn back.

Short Hike to Warrah Lookout |
When I said Magic unfolds, I wasn't lying was I?

Hawkesbury River |
The water seems so unbelievably calm. The whole scene looks straight out of a movie. I stayed there for a long time, feeling the breeze, watching the blue horizon, the sails - soaking in as much as I could. No doubt, it's a beautiful photography location.

Afar is the Barrenjoey Lighthouse, which I have often seen from the other side. |

One doesn't simply stay calm and not strike a touristy pose :) |

And a dreamy pose too ... Even my clothes are color coded :) |
The lookout point is barricaded by fences, but since I was snooping around for a better "dreamier" spot, I found this lonely rock, safe and secure, but with the best view :)
Awesome views of the water and coastline. Beautiful post and images. Have a happy day!
