Wanderlust Tales : Jorhat #atozchallenge

Located in the central Brahmaputra Valley, is the major urban city of Assam - Jorhat, acting as the gateway to upper Assam and to the state of Nagaland. It is also my hometown, where I have for over 12 years. My first letter for A to Z challenge describes the memories of Gar-Ali, which is a major shopping area in the city.

Today let me take you to the countryside, along the shores of River Brahmaputra.
Nimati Ghat -River Brahmaputra

After the rain, nature seems to be drenched in all shades of green.

No matter where you go, you cannot miss the waving fields, where farmers are busy cultivating Rice. When I visited my home last December, the harvesting season was approaching.  Magh Bihu, which falls in mid January, is a harvesting festival celebrated with scrumptious food and music.

Along with ClaireParul and Shaliniwe have formed an Unconventional Alliance with A to Z co-host Pam Margolis as the ring leader ... all set to rock the party
