The weather in Sydney was scorching in the last week of December, except on one day when we decided to drive down to Fitzroy Falls. The numerous lookout points provided a splendid view of the falls and the gorgeous valley down below.
The first viewpoint is just near the edge of the waterfall, where can see the waterfall plunge into the deep valley. It reminded me of Shillong where I could stand on the edge of waterfall and look straight down. But unlike Fitzroy Falls, no safety railings were provided in Shillong. The track was very easy and I could see kids, couples and grandparents equally enjoying the beautiful display of nature.

I chased a few lyrebirds and got scared by screeching black cockatoos. Rich in vegetation and bird watching opportunities, this is an amazing place to spend time with friends and family.

Beautiful Fitzroy falls. I remembered my visit to Shilong (after reading you here) long back when we were in school and it was so beautiful and lush green. And because of missing of fences at such places in India the excitement and thrill at such places get doubled up. Though many times lives are at risk too.
ReplyDeleteDid you manage to get any pictures of those birds? :)
