A Walk along Riverside Road

I find riverside roads extremely charming and relaxing. There’s a peaceful vibe in the cool breeze that’s caught between rustling leaves and swaying trees.
On my way to Wattamola Beach in Sydney Royal National Park, I found this tranquil spot, nestled between tall green hills and long winding road. A perfect place to sit back and watch life pass by.

The place looked so tempting that my husband wanted to get down right then but I insisted on
reaching Wattamola first and then stopping here on the way back, which
was a good idea as after soaking in the sun on the white sandy beach, I
needed a cool place to relax.

The white cockatoos were squaking and chasing the green-necked black ducks (I have no idea what they are actually called), people were fishing, spending time with family and few others indulged in Kayaking.

The
river runs on both the sides of the road. I walked the whole length,
crossed the road to see how it looks on the other side. The area near the road was quite marshy and the clouds formed beautiful reflection on the water.

If you want to visit the place, I suggest travel by your own vehicle or hire a car, towards Royal National Park.

  1. River walks are the best! Always something new to see and watch. Beautiful colors here…great walk, thanks for sharing.

  2. Wow! What a blissful little place. And the pics are amazingly beautiful! Wish I was there at this moment 🙂

  3. You were down my neck of the woods! 🙂 I absolutely adore the RNP and am extremely biased that it's the best NP in Sydney! 🙂
