Last weekend my husband and I embarked on a road trip to Jervis Bay (Australia) from Sydney. The weather was warm and sunny and I was fervently praying for a rain free Saturday . We had started early in the morning and were starving within an hour of driving.
It was on the way to Wollongong, we found this amazing Lookout place – Southern Getaway Center.
Perched on Illawara Escarpment, this place serves as a stopover for travellers driving on Princess Motorway. Whether you want to stretch your leg, freshen yourself or grab a quick bite – the center offers you various services.
In addition, the views are stunning.
There’s an information center and a cafe inside, which serves hot beverages and snacks. Sitting outside the cafe, soaking the sun, sipping on hot chocolate and watching the gorgeous coastline unfold in front of me – I could have stayed there for hours.
We stayed for half an hour before we started on our way towards Jervis Way.
