The sunrise time in Sydney is 7am these days, but we all know that it's the Golden hour, before sunrise, that's absolutely magical.
Since beaches are quite far from where I live, about 25 to 30 km, I need to wake up early, at an unearthly hour of 5am. I say 5am but after snoozing the alarm innumerable times and contemplating if I should let go of the blanket while it's 9 degrees outside, 20 minutes would have passed. This weekend was no different.
But I managed to watch the glorious horizon change from tangerine to yellow. Waves crashing against the cliff, roaring ocean and seagulls flying by - just the kind of place I want to be.

Sunrise at one of the Eastern Beaches in Sydney - Closely |
Here's the sun rising behind the cliffs.
I keep going back to Clovelly because it's peaceful and not many people are around. Occasionally, few joggers and runners would run by, but usually it's quite early in the morning.
