It’s been raining for almost two weeks in Sydney, the sun would peek in for few hours, before the thunderclouds chase it away. But then, I love the rain and how everything looks so clean and refreshing.
Since I didn’t want to spend my weekend cooped up inside, my husband and I decided to go on a long drive to Gosford and have lunch by the waterfront. Dark clouds followed us and blinding rain on the highway made me wonder if this was a good idea.
But as soon as I had my Salmon salad and battered Flathead, it was all worth the effort.
Thankfully, the clouds had stopped pouring when we parked near the Waterfront.
And look who was there to greet us!! Now that’s a really big Pelican.
|I watched the fog slowly envelop the water surface… It looked so surreal.|
But the fog brought the rain back.

And soon it was pouring !! That’s when we decided to head home.
Love these outings in the weekend. It helps me to disconnect from the virtual world and spend some quality time with my husband. Besides we both get an opportunity to indulge in our favorite hobbies – travelling, photography and good food. I feel fortunate to live in a place which is surrounded by such amazing sights.
