Cherry Blossoms – Auburn Botanic Garden | Sydney

Ever watched Cherry Blossoms bloom in August? Yes, it is possible when you live in Australia. As the winter is at the tail end and the weather is no longer gloomy and chilly, you can see spring slowly creeping in. The Cherry blossoms trees on Sydney roadsides have started blooming along with Bird of Paradise, Wisteria, and Crab apples. Last week I visited the Cherry Blossom Festival held at Auburn Botanic Gardens.

This is only a two-weekend event organized every year so you can imagine the crowd the garden attracts. There were different Japanese Dance performances, numerous food stalls, and cosplay too. We had packed a picnic and sat near the Reflection pool to enjoy a sunny afternoon. The park was filled with giggles of girls dressed in Kimono, children running around and people with cameras and selfie sticks, capturing memories.
